World travel is accessible and affordable for many. The traveller subconsciously accepts certain rules and often takes the fastest most convenient route to the destination. In Sophie Tom's latest book 'four corners' rules and obstacles are deliberately put in place in order to make the voyage more difficult or lengthy.

Her work takes many forms using photography, text, imagery, film and kinetic sculpture. Her interest lies with projects and people in isolated communities and voices struggling to be heard.
